Aggregate Vision reimagines landscape photography liberated from the constraints of a fixed viewpoint and renaissance perspective. In its current incarnation, the work consists primarily of a tool for generating large-scale slit scan photographs from publicly available Street View data. Built with Node.js, React, and a reverse engineered API, the web application allows users to select a pathway along any U.S. road. The system generates a slit scan image of the entire route, potentially generating a single photograph that covers hundreds or thousands of miles of distance. This image can then be published for viewing in a browser or downloaded as a series of raster images.
